What is a JRO project
The JRO provides services for health and social care related research projects. This may include clinical or non-clinical research, research undertaken using the resources of health and social care providers and research that might have an impact on the quality of health and social care services.
Are either CU or CVUHB required to accept the role of Sponsor?
Is contracts support required for tissue bank activity?
Does the project involve staff from Cardiff University School of Medicine (MEDIC), CU school of healthcare studies (HARE or CU school of dentistry (DENTL)?
Does the project involve NHS resources, staff or facilities?
Is the project a Clinical investigation or other study of a medical device?
Is the project hosted by CVUHB e.g. involves CVUHB patients, tissues, data, staff, facilities or resources?
Is the project a clinical trial of an investigative medicine product (CTIMP)?
If your answer to any of these questions is “yes”
You will require the use of one or more JRO services
